Chanel Haute Couture Fall Winter 2010

Haute Couture Fashion Week is here again !! Been waiting for this the longest time.

Chanel Haute Couture Fall Winter 2010. Finally lucianoburgos posted up the full show onto youtube.

I’m very surprised that for this season, Karl didn’t go into long evening gowns which he usually did for other Haute Couture Collection. But I’m very impressed by all the handmade embroidery. It’s chanel after-all. The boots are loved ! So are the hefty chanel signature bracelet.

While the set is a huge lion status resting it foot on a Chanel pearl as a centerpiece followed by a parade of supermodels. Opening the show was Natasha Poly, followed by other’s models such as Karlie Kloss, Anja Rubik, Freja, Magdalena, Siri, Dorothea, Bianca showcasing the latest collection of Karl.

Last but not least, Iris Strubegger was chosen as the bride to closed the show with Baptiste Gibiconi wearing a lion head piece. It’s sure is an amazing show.

P.S: I really hope Chanel won’t edit the the soundtrack, the original ones was more amazing.

After a long wait, Chanel Cruise 2010 Full Fashion Show is finally up !

I must rate in a 5/5 show, love all the models line-up, Natasha Poly and Karolina Kurkova is finally booked for Chanel since quite a few season back. Anja Rubik, Abbey Lee, Magdalena, Anatacia and many more. Totally in love with the all natural hair and makeup. Karl has done Coco Chanel proud once again. Not forgetting all the must have accessories and bags, the flats are also all looking fabulous too !! For this season, all the models look all smiley and relaxed yet rocking all their outfit on the runway.

Lily Allen out from Chanel

Now this is one hot news:

Karl Lagerfield, the head designer for Chanel decides to drop Lily Allen from being the face of Chanel Cocoon handbag since last year. Karl has no intention of renewing her contract which expires and it's now replaced by Model Vanessa Paradis. Chanel spokesperson said Lily was the initial face for Chanel, but now it's been replaced by Vanessa.

There's also rumors that Karl thinks Lily was too much of a party girl and had grown tired of her. There's also sources that says Lily got very drunk during a party at his house in paris and had to be carried to the loo to sober up. Karl being the head of Chanel thinks that she being too much of a party girl could no longer represent represent the brand. Neither did Karl invite Lily to his party at the recent Cannes Film Festival, apparently Karl wants to make it clear she is no longer part of the Chanel's family.

Me thinks that right from the start, Lily being chosen for being the face of Chanel Cocoon was a wrong sight. I have never ever support Singer and Actress for being the face of any brand. There's hundred and thousands of models to choose from, and I'm very sure they are able to bring out the essence of what a designer is wants. Now that Karl wants to has nothing to do with Lily, I think he have made a right choice ! Bravo Karl Lagerfield !

Christian Dior Cruise 2010-2011 Full Show

Christian Dior Cruise full show are already up on youtube. Just finished watching the show and I must say, I'm so in love with this collection. Amazing models line-up, from Karlie Kloss, Tanya D, Magdalena, Michalea. And amazing soundtracks to go along with ! John Galliano actually used "Not Myself Tonight" By Christina Aguilera. Lots of energy and all models rocked the runway with their fiercest walk !

The last three dress look so Haute Couture to me though. But never less, if it's classified under Cruise Collection, it look so fabulous in all way.

Dior Cruise 2011 Collection

It's the annual Cruise fashion week again. Designers are all ready to showcase their first looks at different country.

This post is dedicated to one of my most respected designer - John Gailliano for Christian Dior.

For this collection the hair makeup and more of the early 60s'. Heavy, weavy hair at the back and fringe to the side. As for the clothings, lots of pastel colors were used, handbags look amazing, amazing line-up of models, they are all sure rocking the collection well on the runway !

Chanel Cruise 2010 Preview

Just not long ago, Chanel created a short film - "Remember Me" starring Abbey Lee, Karolina Kurkova, Freja Beha, Magdalena and some other supermodels by iconic designer Karl Lagerfield

and now, it's the cruise preview. This time round, Karl goes for a '70s throwback party atmosphere which was reflected on his short film, and the models hit the runway with smiles on their face. Which is considered a rare sight. Natasha Poly opened the show barefooted in knits, whereas Toni Garrn and Jacquetta Wheeler made the runway returns. And for the first time, Karl casted Crystal Renn riding the "plus size models" wave and had 3 looks.
